What music do you like to listen to the most?
Querbeet, but in pole dance like classics from the 70s, 80s or slow songs that are particularly sexy or flowy and where you can let yourself fall in the music
What's your favorite thing to read? I like to read detective stories or psychological thrillers, preferably based on true events or not just fiction. But also topics around psyche and medicine. Currently, for example, I am reading "Why people do evil".
What's your favorite movie? Again, I like classics like Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Pretty Best Friends. Or films about history like the Middle East. Also moving unknown films like Günesi Gördüm. Guaranteed something is missing in my list.
I prefer to watch what is based on true events. I don't like science fiction. It has to feel real.
If you were an animal: What animal would that be? I would be a lion. Magnanimous, radiant, self-indulgent, jovial.
What do you like most about the Beauty Dance Studio? The atmosphere is warm, familiar, warm and you feel immediately included. Never did I feel like I don't feel like going to the gym, but quite the opposite. I always look forward to every hour and always leave feeling elated.
What do you like most about pole dancing? It's a full body workout and so versatile. You can do acrobatics or just dance sometimes. At home on my pole, for example, I often just dance around it to the music without any tricks, just dance. I came to pole dancing myself late in life and would never have dared to dream of being able to do something like that. But it is possible. Everyone can discover themselves in pole dancing.
What's your favorite pole trick or move? I like the extended Butterfly and Ayesha. But also Armpits.
Why did you want to teach? I learned so much about myself, how my body works, how I bring my head and body together, how I create things that were impossible for me before, I got so much self-esteem... I got so much in beauty dance! All this I would like to pass on.
What do you like best about teaching? Seeing the progress that is being made. The gleam in the eyes. And the gratitude. I remember how difficult some things were for me, how I tried and trained, how it sometimes clicked. And I enjoy it when my tips help others, too.
What style of pole do you prefer and where do you get your inspiration from? I like pole flow and spinning. I really like Marlo Fisken's style, she dances on a static pole and it looks like it's spinning. I have also been to a workshop of Marlo Fisken and I will be back with her soon.
What do you like to do most in your free time? I like pole dancing the most 🙂 But I also like to train Aerial Hammock and Aerial Hoop. And I like to meet friends.
What topics are you most concerned with at the moment? I try not to focus too much on the negative in world events. Instead, I try to see the beautiful things in life.
