What music do you like to listen to the most? I'm musically very open and like a lot of things, but if I had to choose, it would probably be (punk) rock, influenced by my father, who introduced me early on to bands like Linkin Park, Die Ärzte, Green Day, Metallica, 30 Seconds to Mars and co.
What is your favorite book? One of the many Fitzek books or maybe "The Other Child" by Charlotte Link...tough question! I love long and convoluted crime stories where you have to wait until
not know at the end how it will end and where everything logically unravels in the end.
What's your favorite movie? The film "Burlesque" triggers the most in me, because back then as a shy teenager I always wanted to look, sing and dance just as great as Christina Aguilera. I must have seen the film about 40 times. From today's perspective, however, I would probably rather say "Django" or "the boy in the striped pajamas".
Otherwise, I like everything that is somehow logical. Fantasy and sci-fi are not really my thing, although "Harry Potter", "Lord of the Rings" and "Hobbit" are exceptions.
Which 3 words describe you best? Diverse, active and enthusiastic I would say 🙂 .
If you were an animal: What animal would that be? Probably a dolphin...I am very sociable and (almost always) in a good mood. I also love the sea and am always amazed by its vastness and nature.
How did you get into dancing?
What do you like most about the Beauty Dance Studio? I especially like the absolutely positive atmosphere and the family feeling that one gets from the rather small classes. The studio has always been a safe space for me, whether as a student or as a trainer.
What do you like most about pole dancing? The mixture of sophisticated and acrobatic elements and free, uninhibited and sexy dancing.
What's your favorite pole trick or move? I really like all the tricks with splits, like Jade or Baby Russian Split or also the Extended Butterfly.
Why did you want to teach? You learn the tricks again in a completely different way. A lot of things you can do over time without thinking about it, but when you teach, you have to look at every movement, every grip and every sequence so that you can teach them. That way, you also learn a lot yourself and it's just a lot of fun for me to teach.
What topics are you most concerned with at the moment? One is definitely climate change, which unfortunately is still not recognized as a problem everywhere. On the other hand, feminism, or to put it in more general terms: outdated, socialized role models that are still very deeply anchored in many generations and social groups and that make it difficult for many people, especially young people, to develop individually and to live a free, unrestricted life.
Is there anything else that is important to you / that makes you you as a person or that you
you would like to share with your (future) students?
It is very important to me that all the people who participate in my courses feel comfortable and
leave the studio with a smile on their face. That's why I try to get the participants to
encourage them to participate in the planning and design of the lessons. Even if it is due to the
choreos a kind of guideline, we still have enough room for individual wishes and
I am always ready to do more or less strength and stretching exercises or even more dance, freestyle
and bring in extra tricks if that is what the group wants.
