What is Pole Dance?

Pole Dance is sensual, elegant, and acrobatic. Wonderful for both body and mind, incorporating dance, strength, and flexibility, pole is one of the most holistic workouts you can get- and most of all- it’s so much fun!

After its beginnings in the strip clubs, pole dance has become a hugely popular form of fitness combined dance, now incorporating an endless array of beautiful shape and movement. Combining these various spins and climbs with dance both on the pole and on the floor we’ll learn a fun and flowing beautifully choreographed final piece

Who can participate?

Pole Dance is a little more physically demanding than our other courses, but you don’t need to be strong already! That will come with practice! We do however ask that participants are over 18, and have no major health problems. For health and safety reasons we are unfortunately unable to teach pole to pregnant women.

Once these basic few requirements are met, every woman who is after some training that builds both muscles and endurance, is warmly welcomed to come and join in the fun! Pole Dance is a wonderful way to make both physical and mental gains, combining the joy of movement with well-being and a lovely big confidence boost!

Wear the clothes that make you feel most comfortable and give you freedom of movement. Certain beginner moves do require just a little bit of flesh on the pole to help with grip- as such we recommend that you wear shorts or loose pants that can be rolled up above the knee. And if you wish, feel free to dress seductively and train in high heels! Of course this is not a must 😉

Pole Dance adapted to you…

Our small groups of no more than 6, and one pole for each student, enable us to tailor your class to your wishes. Whether your focus is acrobatics or dance, whether you want to move fast or slow, you can determine how you learn with your group!

We have a kick-ass super sexy playlist of all different genres of music- but if you hear a tune that you want to get your groove on to- just let us know and we’ll get it playing in class for you!

Our courses are divided into 3 categories: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Each of these levels is then split into three different choreographies incorporating tons of different moves, each taught once a week over a 4 week period. Then as you get more advanced, we have loads of options for specialist courses to join that focus on different areas of pole dance. If you have already learned pole previously, get in touch and we’ll figure out the right level for you to get started with us!
